Dr. Blanka Miletic, C.Psych.
Psychologist in the Ottawa area
I am a clinical psychologist registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. I work with individuals who experience a wide range of psychological and interpersonal difficulties. My clinical interests include issues related to anxiety, depression, resolving past or current relationship difficulties, life transitions, self-esteem problems, anger management, common life stressors (e.g., work or school-related, loss), and cross-cultural struggles (e.g., cultural identity, cross-cultural adjustment). I can also help with parenting issues and dealing with effects of family stress on children and adolescents.
I provide psychotherapy to adults, adolescents, and children, and I use an integrated approach to treatment drawing upon cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), interpersonal, and experiential approaches. I work collaboratively with my clients to identify their therapeutic needs, develop their specific goals and help them move forward in their personal development.
I approach my clients in a genuine and compassionate fashion, and I strive to provide an atmosphere of trust, acceptance, and respect. I believe in the uniqueness of human experience and I place an emphasis on the impact of different psycho-social factors and cultural context in which individuals live.
